Angel Emily…

A few days ago we got to work with a very very special newborn baby, Emily. Emily was not only a miracle.. but we’re convinced that she truly is an angel! A little over a month ago Nikki McClure was in a horrible car accident with a semi truck while 8 months pregnant (stories here and here.) She was rushed to the hospital and shortly after delivered a sweet, completely heathy and unharmed baby girl, Emily. The doctors said that had Nikki not been pregnant she would have died from blood loss- meaning this little angel saved her momma’s life <3
We were so excited to meet this little sweetie! Geeze was she beautiful! Her dad was so calm and nice and we were glad to let him sit back and relax for a few hours.
After she had a bottle and was sound asleep Julie grabbed her camera and came to pick her up.. and she had her hands posed in the shape of a heart! We’ve all seen adorable pictures like this all over Pinterest, but this little lady posed HERSELF this way.. how unreal is that?
Isn’t she perfect? We always try to stress to new mommies to bring their babies in in the first 10 days because it’s hard to have a smooth session if they’re much older than that. Emily was 5 weeks old and I can honestly say she was more peaceful and content than a lot of 5 DAY old babies we have. She is an angel.. I’m telling you ;0)
In honor of Emily and her mother Nikki (who is still in recovery), for a limited time Design Revolution will be selling The Emily Hat - And all proceeds will go to the family. Emily’s story really touched our hearts.. and we can’t thank this family enough for sharing their angel with us <3

Last week a good friend and fellow photographer, Valerie Tabor Smith visited the studio for a few days to “play”!
When Valerie Tabor Smith and Julie put their creative noggins together there is always a beautiful result! They had 3 adorably chubby girls and 1 dapper little dude as models (along with their wonderful parents.) This is the first of the edits.. Miss Cami. This little lady was full of giggles and smiles.. she was a total ham! One of the happiest babies we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with..
How could you not love her?
We cant wait to get our hands on the images from the other models as soon as the Holiday madness dies down. Stay tuned :0)

Making its debut in Russia!
Julie and Valerie Tabor Smith collaborated their creative genius for a week photographing these adorable little “baby divas”. They had so much fun and we’re all so excited and pleased with the finished product!
Now, it’s in Russian sooo… what does it say??
Luckily we ran into someone at our last workshop event (After Dark Tucson) that speaks Russian! She helped us translate the calendar and though most of it doesn’t make a LOT of sense it was fun to get an idea of what it says.
The title of the calendar is “Between Us Girls”.. how cute!
”Women is not right until after she began to cry.”- remember these are LOOSE translations ;0)
”For tomorrow I’ll have a tantrum and maybe shopping.”
“With such girlfriend, one can do anything.”
“There’s not many like me.”
How funny are those?? We are so excited and crossing our fingers that MAYBE someday we can put a calendar or something fun out in the US ;0)

Once again After Dark has blown us away! The people we met were all wonderful, the resort was BREATHTAKING and the experiences we had and things we learned are like nothing else!
We had so much fun working with ALL of the models and will post more when the images are done.. but I just had to share these! This little guy was born on Halloween…
And of course we had to get a few shots of his cousin for grandma! What a happy little boy :0)
